​FENIMALE'S GREENHOUSE

When Fenimale needs to recharge her chloroplasts, she takes a little nap in her greenhouse. It's a magical place (obviously), bright and humid, overflowing with seedlings, seeds and plant experiments of all kinds (be warned, some of them are a bit tricky). Whether you need seeds or botanical advice, you can always count on the little fairy to help you, with her usual good humour (no).

When Poison has a mysterious source of energy called the Breath of Life, he can become a truly massive and, above all, terribly fearsome creature. I suppose you could call them bosses? Defeating them will be a challenge. But maybe you can get your hands on the breath of life that drives it?

It does not matter if you love it or loathe it, it leaves no one indifferent. Our 'beautiful' French capital is not short of attractions to please the tourists, nor of dangers for those who venture there without preparation (minimum level recommended: para-commando with krav-maga option). Anyone who has ever taken the metro knows that horror can take many forms. Paris is full of bright squares, dark alleys and lost souls. Some say it's the entrance to Hell, from which desperate... but uplifting music emanates!

New use of the Chronopack!

The chronopack can be used to control time. Did you know that it can move a moving vehicle forwards or backwards to clear a path? Or make Mrs Michu move faster so she can get to her appointment on time? The possibilities are endless!

Poison's henchmen come in many forms. Parasitized humans or animals, colonised objects, golem or pure emanations. In all cases, it's the same spirit that inhabits them, that you'll have to fight in order to free the poor creatures that have fallen under its sway and send them back to safety in the space-time continuum.
Overall, there are no fewer than 40 different incarnations to contend with!

There are flamboyant destinies, capable of changing the face of the world. And then there are those more modest destinies, who cross the raging ocean of life clinging to a piece of driftwood. Bob is one of these, tossed by the wind, observing life with circumspection like an abstract canvas. But sometimes all it takes is the flap of a butterfly's wings to turn a life upside down. Can you give Bob the destiny he deserves? You'll find out as this quest unfolds across time, from era to era.

You've got to craft it yourself!

There's plenty of opportunity to pick a few ingredients, let off steam on the fitness trail or tease the so-called 'monster' in the fishing pond. But beware, even in sparsely populated areas, Poison is never far away. Before picking a mushroom, make sure it's edible, but above all, that it's not carnivorous...

COMBAT: COMBOS

When you find yourself in the middle of a fight, you generally have other things to think about than coordinating your actions, the most urgent thing often being to avoid dying prematurely. However, thanks to the Chronopack, you'll find it easier to attack at the same time as an ally. Try combining the combat techniques of your team members to discover super-powerful combos, in duos, and maybe even in trios? Working as a team will be more effective in combat, and good for group cohesion.

FARMING

​Planting seeds and watching them grow is an activity that may seem tedious, but it's actually quite relaxing when you're on the verge of death with every mission. What's more, it's a good way of producing healthy food, essential for the bodies and minds of the inhabitants of the Domain. But Nature is a delicate thing. Work the soil properly with your hoe, mulch, feed the soil with compost, select your seeds, discover new species and harvest the fruits of your labour with Lady's help. And if all that seems to be taking too long, a quick shot of Chronopack will speed up the growth! On the other hand, your soil will tire more quickly. What? You thought it was going to be easy? You thought it would be easy?

Beneath the roots, flowers and extensions added over time by the estate's inhabitants, you can still make out a pretty Breton house. Outside, a peaceful little river. Inside, a vast living space with a kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and the essential cat tree. Upstairs, space seems to expand into the portal room, and beyond into the mysterious workshop where Maliki spends her days locked away. In fact, your little room is right next to it. If you lend an ear, you might be able to find out what the mistress of the domain is up to. They say she snores!

Any entomophobe will recoil at the sight of the imposing building, which seems to stand fiercely on its haunches. The Tree's roots sometimes adopt configurations that are hard to attribute to chance. However, Becky, who occupies the premises day and night, doesn't breed locusts there, but chickens, sheep and any other animals in distress or in disarray whose paths she crosses.
Her farm is the ideal place to pick up a few eggs or other useful materials, such as wool. Don't ask for chicken, though, or you'll end up with a pitchfork in your rump.

In the concept art of the Domaine's buildings, you may well recognise the great Renaud Scheidt, known as "Reno", a drawing maestro and creator (among others) of the Aquablue comic strip series.

Take control of Time!
Thanks to Temporals Actions, you can use your chronopoints to change the order of combatants, and perform special techniques! Be creative to gain an advantage over the enemy by manipulating the timeline! You'll be able to synchronize yourself with an enemy's turn, to have a chance of parrying it, to attack in duet with an ally, or even with yourself! But be careful you don't end up in a paradox... really, space-time holds many mysteries!

(It's great fun to have a storyline justification for this great classic of the order of combatants in a turn-by-turn combat system).

​​An old hangar, transformed over time into a workshop full of odds and ends. It is the Domaine's electrical production center, and Fang's favorite place, who tinkers there from morning to evening with things and gadgets assembled from various recycled materials. Not sure that the place is very secure, especially since our little engineer cheerfully manipulates dangerous quantum energies according to a protocol, let's not be afraid of words, a little empirical.

​​But despite the danger of imminent death, Fang's workshop is the ideal place to come and ask for new equipment from incongruous objects recovered here and there (such as, for example, a seal for an exhaust duct morgue air conditioner).

A small haven of peace and nature, which seems to have miraculously escaped the cataclysm of Poison. And for good reason, the Estate is no longer subject to universal time, thanks to the Tree of a Thousand Roots which grows there, a very rare essence which generates its own time around it. The more the tree grows, the more the Domain expands.

This place is the refuge of strange temporal castaways. There is also a Manor, an old dwelling colonized by the roots of the Tree, and other buildings which seem to have mutated over time. But… How long has this place been around!? What secrets does it hold? 

AND WHAT CATS ARE DOING THERE!!?

In a turn-based combat system, characters and enemies attack in turn, according to an order of passage defined on a timeline. In Maliki: Poison of the Past, on each of his turns, a character can:
- Concentrate on filling the common gauge of chronopoints, the magic of the Tree of a Thousand Roots.
- Perform a basic attack, which can be boosted by spending chronopoints.
- Execute a technique, that is to say a powerful special power but having a cost in chronopoints.
- Use a flower to recover life points, cure a condition, revive a KO ally, etc.
- Flee like a coward, or make a brave retreat, your choice!

Some techniques can even be used offensively AND defensively, under certain conditions! And also, of course, the famous temporal actions! But we'll talk about it again soon.
